Nathan Benderson Park hosts Beer, Boats & Bacon

Eighty craft beers and more than 13 local food vendors are taking over Nathan Benderson Park.

From 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 10, the East County venue is hosting the fifth annual Beer, Boats & Bacon festival for food- and adult beverage- lovers.

Attendees can enjoy samples of homegrown brews and a range of bacon dishes while watching the Sarasota-Bradenton Head Race, playing games and enjoying music.

Cost is $35 for general admission, which includes unlimited 3-ounce samples of beer and three food tasting tickets. VIP admission costs $55.
