Mustangs come back to win district crown

Martin Martinez scored with 10 minutes left in the match to lead the Lakewood Ranch High boys soccer team to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over North Port in the Class 4A-District 11 championship Jan. 23. 

Trailing 2-0 10 minutes into the first half, Ryan Sollazzo and Ben Wilson each scored a goal to pull the Mustangs even with the Bobcats late in the second half. 

With the win, Lakewood will advance to the regional quarterfinals Jan. 30.
