More than 50 Key homes without power

More than 50 Longboat Key homes are currently without power, according to FPL’s Power Tracker, fplmaps.com.

Of reported outages, at least 47 have been reported mid-Key, near Bay Isles, and were first reported at 4:12 a.m. and were caused by stormy weather conditions. At 1:25 p.m., FPL estimated its restoration time as 11:45 p.m. tonight.

Another three outages were reported just north of Buttonwood Harbor and were caused by tree or branch damage to FPL electrical equipment. The outages were first reported at 9:24 p.m. Sunday. FPL currently estimates that it will restore power by 8 p.m.

Additional outages are scattered throughout the Key.
