Miss Manatee softball wins All-Star Championship

The Miss Manatee Softball 13 and up All-Star team won the NSA Rec Ball Fast Pitch Softball All-Star Championship May 13-14.

The team went undefeated in pool play, defeating Venice 4-2 and Charlotte 11-0. In single elimination, Miss Manatee defeated Venice 5-2 to advance to the championship game.

With the game tied 1-1 in the seventh inning of the championship game, Miss Manatee scored on a throwing error to defeat Manatee Girls Softball 2-1. This marks the third year in a row Miss Manatee has captured the championship.

Championship players include: Kinsey Goelz, Bethaney Keen, Kaylee Misiti, Myah Moy, Gina Panik, Heather Payne, Brooke Rehfeldt, Megan Stevens, Lauren Turner, Danielle Walker and Ali Yawn.
