Manatee County commissioners today approved a 4% rate increase for drinking water and wastewater treatment services.
The change will result in a combined average of a less than $3 per month increase.
Utilities staff said the increases are needed to cover improvements to utilities facilities and to replace aging infrastructure.
The new rate will be effective April 1.
