Manatee Technical College honors students

Manatee Technical College is launching its own future under its shiny new name.

At 7 p.m. April 21, the East County school will induct 132 students into the National Technical Honor Society. It will be the first induction for the school with its college title, rather than its former technical institute name.

Induction into the honor society is considered a scholastic honor at the school, and represents excellence in workforce education, a press release said.
