Manatee food bank needs volunteers

The agency will hold two more food distributions for families impacted by Hurricane Irma.

The Food Bank of Manatee is in critical need of volunteers to help distribute food and water to individuals impacted by Hurricane Irma.

The Food Bank will hold two additional distributions at its Renaissance on 9th facility, 1816 Ninth St. W., Bradenton.

Distributions will be from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Sept. 21 and from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Sept. 22.

The Food Bank also is collecting food and supplies, including canned, ready-to-eat items with pull tops, pouches of tuna, chicken or other proteins, snack bars, peanut butter, toiletries, paper goods, diapers and cleaning supplies.
