Manatee County seeks Animal Services Advisory Board members

Manatee County is continuing its revamp of the Animal Services Department.

The county has five openings for the department's Advisory Board, which makes recommendations Manatee County Commissioners on animal policies.

Four of the seats are those of members whose terms expired. The other is a vacant seat.

Interested applicants must be county residents and have a background in one of the following areas: animal rescue or care organizations, agencies or volunteer associations; veterinary background; or possesses business organization, marketing skills, financial management or supervisory experience.

Meetings are held quarterly, or on an as-need basis determined by the Advisory Board.

All appointments are four-year terms. 

Applications are due Feb. 27 and are available at mymanatee.org/advisory_boards.
