What will the next year of leadership look like for the Manatee County School Board?

At its meeting, which starts at 5:45 p.m. Nov. 17, board members will select a chairperson and vice chairperson to lead the group.

Each year, the group reorganizes and elects leaders.

Currently, Bob Gause is the chairman and David Miner is the vice chairman.

Leaders must be nominated and receive a majority vote to assume the roles.

Other topics to be discussed include assigning board members to committees, approval of the annual financial report, which reflects the district's financial standing for fiscal year ending June 30, 2015.
