A school with the largest agriculture program in the state, Braden River High School might soon have a new resource on campus to offer to the 634 students in the program.
At its meeting at 5:45 p.m. Sept. 22, the Manatee County School Board will decide whether to approve the construction of a pole barn at the East County school.
The facility is slated to cost $101,720, with an additional $55,000 for site work, electrical and plumbing services, permitting, inspections and other requirements.
Pole barns are versatile structures that can be used for storage, as a garage, or for housing livestock, hay and other agricultural needs.
