Manatee County released holiday closures and schedules

Manatee County has released a list of upcoming holiday closures.

Thanksgiving closures:

County offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27 for Thanksgiving.

Public libraries will be closed Thursday through Saturday.

Garbage, yard waste and recycling pick-up is suspended on Thanksgiving Day, and will be postponed until Friday.

Manatee County Area Transportation’s fixed route, Handy Bus and Longboat Key Trolley services will also be suspended on Thanksgiving.

Public parks, preserves and beaches will stay open to the public during the holidays.

Upcoming Christmas and New Year's Day closures:

County offices and public libraries will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25 for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and Friday, Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.

Public libraries that normally close ay 8 p.m. will close at 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Garbage, yard waste and recycling pick-up will be suspended Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Fixed route and the Handy Bus will stop running at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and will be suspended Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
