The Manatee County Board of County Commissioners may push back a tax referendum meant to fund indigent health care in Manatee County to an August vote.

The board voted last week to hold the referendum in June.

At the board's March 26 meeting, however, commissioners voted to move forward with the option of delaying the referendum, so voters could become more educated on the topic and so the board could consider including property tax relieve in the 2013-14 Fiscal Year budget.

A decision on which date the board will use for the referendum is slated for April 9.
