The Manatee County Board of County Commissioners today paved the way for more development in the East County.

In a 5-2 vote, the board approved preliminary site plans for Eagle Trace, a 131-unit subdivision slated for a 61-acre parcel just south of State Road 64 and about one-half mile west of Pope Road.

The project is located at 1808 John Taylor Road.
