The Manatee Cal Ripken 9U baseball team defeated North Brandon 12-2 to win the Cal Ripken Florida State Championship July 13.
The team went undefeated over the four-day tournament, which began July 10, outscoring its opponents 49-18.
Manatee is now 17-0 since forming seven weeks ago. The team will now advance to the Southeast Regionals July 23, in Palm Beach Gardens.
