Man robs Waffle House at gunpoint

An unknown black male wearing a black t-shirt covering his head and face robbed an East County Waffle House at gunpoint early this morning.

The unknown male, described as 6-feet tall and 170 pounds, entered the Waffle House at the 600 block of 67th Street Circle East and demanded money from the register, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.

The man fled the scene by foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

As of 12:47 a.m. this morning, when the incident occurred, the man could not be found.
