Man dies after rescue from hot tub

A 68-year-old man was found unresponsive in a community hot tub in Lakewood Ranch at noon Sunday and was pronounced dead 20 minutes later, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office report says that the victim, Robert Gorsline, was pulled from the hot tub, in the 5600 block of Esplanade Boulevard, by a witness who then started cardiac pulmonary resuscitation.

The CPR continued all the way to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, where the victim could not be revived, according to the report.

The report does not indicate the cause of death or if the death was suspicious.
