In a release, the department says Berretta was discovered after video surveillance captured him walking up to a woman’s home and entering an unlocked vehicle, stealing cash and loose change in the process. Detectives believe he is linked to several burglaries that have taken place in the city since early September.

The release says additional charges are pending for Berretta. Anyone with information regarding the case is encouraged to call Detective Kim Laster at 364-7327. To leave information anonymously, call Crime Stoppers at 366-8477 or visit the Crime Stoppers website.
