Team AfterHours Car Club will host Lakewood Ranch Main Street's first car show at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The show, a fundraiser for Junior Achievement, wil feature a variety of vehicles, live music from the Stray Dawgs, Gin & Juice and the Jeff Evans Band. The show is free; those interested in participating in the event by showing a vehicle can register at www.TeamAfterHours.com. The vehicle entrance fee is $20.

"We're putting together a second charity show because we saw the success of the last one we did at H3, and we wanted to put together another one that was bigger and better than the first,” said Otto Delph and Garrett Page of Team AfterHours. “Plus, we created Team AfterHours to bring together the community and the world of cars, and this way, we can do that, while benefitting Junior Achievement which is a great organization helping out kids in this tough economy.

The mission of Junior Achievement is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. This school year, volunteers taught K-12 programs focusing on the Three Pillars of Success: financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. Junior Achievement reached more than 5,000 students in Sarasota and Manatee  classrooms.

“Thanks to the generosity of Team AfterHours, Junior Achievement educational programs will reach more young people in Sarasota and Manatee classrooms," said Barbara Page, executive director. "The experience will open their minds to their potential, help them understand the business of life, and prepare them for the workplace.”
