Longboat woman to moderate discussion on Ukraine

Anisa Mycak, a Ukrainian-American who lives on Longboat Key, will moderate a discussion about the crisis in Ukraine from 2 to 4 p.m. March 24, at the Selby Library, 1221 First St., Sarasota.

The presentation is sponsored by the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America, Branch 56.

Speakers include Bohdan Vitvitsky, who served as resident legal advisory for the U.S. embassy in Kiev from 2007 to 2009. He has lectured and published on various topics about Ukraine and its 20th century history.

Lidia Bilous, executive with the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America, which provides ongoing humanitarian assistance to individuals injured on the Maidan will speak.
