Longboat Key police start collecting Toys for Tots

The Longboat Police Department has launched its Toys for Tots campaign.

“Historically, Longbat Key residents have been so giving,” said spokeswoman Susan Rochford.

Toys can be dropped off through Dec. 21 at the Longboat Key Police Department, 5460 Gulf of Mexico Drive.

Toys for Tots benefit children in the Sarasota area. Donations can include toys, clothing, bikes, and anything special to bring joy to a child’s holiday, said Rochford.
