by: Robin Hartill Managing Editor

Longboat Key isn’t sexy like Sarasota and Bradenton, which recently ranked first and third on Movoto’s “sexiest small cities in America” poll, but it was recently recognized for another attribute: safety.

Fantastic beaches are a hallmark of Longboat Key, making it a favorite with snowbirds, as well as homesteaders. Its Code Red communication system goes above and beyond to keep citizens safe,” the blog states.
