Longboat Island Chapel's statue of wisdom goes missing

The Longboat Island Chapel’s statue of wisdom has been stolen out of its back garden. The statue, which is a bubbling fountain waterfall made of basaltic rock, is dedicated to the Rev. Dr. Charles Shook, minister dmeritus of the church.

“The statue is irreplaceable and a reflection of who we are,” says Pat Joyner of Longboat Island Chapel.

If the statue is replaced, no questions will be asked. If anyone has nformation regarding the statue, please call the Longboat Island Chapel office at 941-383-6491.
