Local skiers place at national tournament

Three members of the Sarasota Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Show Team competed and placed at the 37th Division 1 Show Ski National Championship Aug. 12 to Aug. 14 in Janesville, Wis.

Kirsten Hannabass, a 2011 graduate of Lakewood Ranch High, and Jeff Maglione, a graduate of Riverview High, placed third out of 14 in Adiago Doubles. Hannabass also placed sixth out of 15 in Swivel.

Garrett Bouley, who will be a senior at Braden River High, finished third out of nine in Freestyle Jump.
