After years of discussions and conversations with the Longboat Key Planning, Zoning and Building Department staff, Lighthouse Point residents are getting their community docks upgraded.

At its Tuesday, June 21, regular meeting, the Longboat Key Planning and Zoning Board approved an outline development plan amendment and a site plan amendment that allows the community to reconfigure the boat moorings areas at two Lighthouse Point Community Docks to provide better access to the mooring area and greater protection to the surrounding seagrass.
