Ann Bergeron (36) won the Nine Hole Women's Golf Association Individual Low Net event at Palm Aire Country Club.

Mary Jane Sancore and Lottie Sinclair-Brown (32) won the Nine-Hole Ladies Golf Association Best Ball event at University Park Country Club. 

Joe Williams, Gary Slavin, David Barry and Ken Burghy (108) won the Men's Golf Association Best Ball event at University Park on Aug. 2.

Ron Guilmette and Tim Duncan (-10) won the Men's Golf Association Best Ball event at Palm Aire Country Club on Aug. 2. 

Baseball

Former Lakewood Ranch pitcher Seth McGarry recorded his first save as a member of the Clearwater Threshers in a 3-1 win over Palm Beach. McGarry was traded from the Pittsburgh Pirates organization to the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday.
