The Lakewood Ranch High athletic department will hold its 2013 Fall Golf Classic Oct. 5, at the Legacy Golf Club in Lakewood Ranch.

The four-person scramble fundraising event will begin with registration and breakfast at 7 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $100 per person and includes golf, food and beverages. Sponsorship opportunities also are available.

Team awards will be given for both gross and net divisions. Individual awards also will be handed out, including closest to the pin, hole-in-one and longest drive.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Lakewood Ranch’s athletic teams, which were named both academic and athletic state champions during the 2011-12 school year.

Following the tournament, players will enjoy an awards luncheon, which will feature a silent auction and raffle for the chance to win sports items, golf packages and more.
