Lakewood to hold athletics fundraiser

Lakewood Ranch High will hold its 2015 Fall Golf Classic Sept. 26, at the River Club Golf & Country Club, 6600 River Club Blvd., Bradenton. 

The four-person scramble event will begin with registration and snacks at 12 p.m. followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Cost is $60 per person and includes admission to Lakewood’s 1st annual Homecoming BBQ and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. 

Team prizes will be awarded for gross and net divisions as well as individual prizes for closest to the pin, hole-in-one and longest drive. All prizes will be awarded at the Homecoming BBQ. 

Tickets for just the BBQ also are available for $14 each of two tickets for $25. Sponsorships, ranging from $100 for a hole sponsor to $5,000 for a gold sponsor, also are available. 

Proceeds will benefit Lakewood Ranch’s athletic department.
