The Lakewood Ranch High girls golf team defeated Riverview by 40 shots in a six-hole rain shortened match Sept. 15.

The Lady Rams were without No.2 player Nicole Pivonka who was diagnosed with Swine Flu. Riverview sophomore Stefanie Mitchell was the medalist of the match. Linda Luo, the Lady Mustangs' No. 1 player, finished one stroke back.

Lakewood will return to action Thursday against Braden River and The Out-of-Door Academy.
