Lady Mustangs finish second at Mountain Dew Invite

The Lakewood Ranch High girls cross country team finished second to Estero in the 58-team field at the University of Florida Mountain Dew Invitational Sept. 24, in Gainesville.

Olivia Ortiz finished second in 18 minutes, 28 seconds and Devin McDermott finished 12^th in 19:31 to earn medals for the Lady Mustangs.

Kristin Zarrella finished in 19:57 followed by Natalie Novak (20:58), Ashley Platt (21:08), Katie Wray (21:08) and Michelle Last (22:19).

The girls return to action at the Flrunners.com Invitational Oct. 1 in Satellite Beach.
