Kiwanis Club seeks award nominees

The Kiwanis Club of Longboat Key is seeking nominations for its annual “Citizen of the Year” award.
The award will be presented at the Longboat Key Kiwanis Foundation’s Third Annual Valentine’s Ball Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Longboat Key Club and Resort’s Harbourside Dining Room.

Submit your nominee’s name and a summary of why the individual should be considered by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20 to Kiwanis Club Secretary John Wild at [email protected] or to P.O. Box 8097, Longboat Key, Fla., 34228.

Tickets to the event will be $95 per person or 10 for $1,000. Proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club Foundation’s local scholarship fund. Tickets are partially tax deductable.

For tickets, send checks to the Longboat Key Kiwanis Foundation, Box 8097, Longboat Key, Fla., 34228, with the note “Valentine’s Ball” in the memo, or contact Rick Crawford at 281-389-1300 or [email protected]. Tickets can also be purchased at SunTrust Bank, 510 Bay Isles Road.

The event is black-tie optional and will feature the 42nd Street Big Band from Tampa.
