Key shark victim to undergo surgery

Charles “C.J.” Wickersham, 21, of Longboat Key, will undergo surgery this afternoon following a weekend shark attack that occurred off of Anna Maria.

According to the victim’s sister, Kristi, Wickersham is recovering and will have surgery this afternoon to debride his wound.

Kristi Wickersham said that her brother will likely remain hospitalized for another 10 days.
