Key Club writ of certiorari hearing rescheduled

Oral arguments in the petition for a writ of certiorari against the Longboat Key Club and Resort and the town of Longboat Key have been rescheduled. The arguments are filed by the Islandside Property Owners Coalition and L’Ambiance and Sanctuary associations. The hearing will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, in the courtroom of Sarasota County Circuit Judge Charles Roberts at the Lynn N. Silvertooth Judicial Center. 

The writ of certiorari challenges the town’s Comprehensive Plan and the Islandside redevelopment project ordinance the Longboat Key Town Commission adopted in June 2010.
