Do you dream of lounging by the pool this summer or getting your golf game back in swing?

Then, the Longboat Key Club & Resort might be the place for you.

The Key Club will offer five-month summer memberships running from early May through early October.
Jeff Mayers, who became the Key Club’s general manager in November after its purchase by the Delray Beach-based Ocean Properties Ltd. LLC, said it’s the first summer he is aware of in which summer memberships have been available.

The company hopes to target families with children who are looking for activities during the summer and could also be interested in the Key Club’s summer camp programs.

“Working with previous resorts, it’s something that has been done, so I think that it has a good fit here,” Mayers said.

Annual dues for social memberships typically start at $2,700 for a family but will be available starting at $2,000 in addition to a food-and-beverage minimum. Many tiers of memberships are available.

The memberships include access to the property’s beach club and tennis pool, six restaurants, Island House Spa and Fitness Center, member events and Junior Tennis and Sports Camps and Kids Club. Summer members will also receive discounted member rates for golf and tennis.

“It provides an alternative for the residents of Longboat Key that allows them to take advantage of the amenities it has to offer in the summertime,” Mayers said.
