Keep Sarasota County Beautiful seeks volunteers for Great American Cleanup

Keep Sarasota County Beautiful is currently accepting registration of volunteers for the 2012 Great American Cleanup, which takes place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 7, at sites throughout Sarasota County.

The theme of this year’s cleanup is Own Your Own Project, which encourages people to take pride in their community.

Keep Sarasota County Beautiful has hosted the event in Sarasota since 1992, and the Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest annual community improvement program, with an estimated 3 million volunteers. Interested volunteers can call 861-5000 for more information.
