The Junior League of Sarasota announced its newest community-wide initiative, Menu for Nutrition, this week. The volunteer-based organization hopes to build a healthier Sarasota by offering the community a program focused on good nutrition. Menu for Nutrition will help teach the importance of a healthy regime through free education, community service and partnerships with local community organizations.

“This program is designed to be a sustainable community project through which we build a stronger and healthier community,” says Jessica Hays, president of the Junior League of Sarasota.

Menu for Nutrition programs include educational series such as “10 Tips for Nutrition” and “Kids in the Kitchen,” a 90-minute, hands-on learning experience for kindergartners through sixth-graders and their families.
