After its successful inaugural debut on YourObserver.com, The Observer’s “It’s Read Everywhere” contest will return online this week and will run through Nov. 11, culminating with The Observer’s annual “Welcome Back” edition.

Last year’s online contest asked readers to upload their best “It’s Read Everywhere” photos and to vote for their favorites, which resulted in more than 4,000 votes! This year, we’re asking readers to do the same by uploading photos with The Observer newspaper (Longboat, East County or Sarasota) from their travels onto YourObserver.com. Submissions will be accepted until Nov. 1. Then, the voting begins! Voting will take place from Nov. 1 to Nov. 8. The winner could win up to $1,000 in travel vouchers.

Last year’s grand-prize winner was Paul Rademaker with his photo, “Family, Friends and Fun at Whistler,” which featured Rademaker’s friends and family holding up The East County Observer before hitting the slopes in Whistler, British Columbia. Rademaker’s photo received 2,352 votes!

If you’ve sent in an “It’s Read Everywhere” photo since Nov. 12, 2009, it is eligible for this year’s contest and we’ve already uploaded your photo for you on our website.

Happy travels!
