Injured toddler prepares for surgery

Libby Claire McGarity, the 22-month-old toddler who was critically injured July 10, when she fell from a loft in the Village home of her grandparents, Jim and Susan Pressly, will undergo surgery to replace her skull flap Thursday, Sept. 3.

Her brother, Mac, was preparing to celebrate his 10th birthday on Sept. 4, but agreed to celebrate a week early so that the family could focus on his sister. Mac’s birthday present was a new laptop from his parents.
