At an agenda review meeting today, members of the Inter-District Authority board discussed plans to make Town Hall's information technology position full time, as well as the need to add a full-time clerk's position to handle document management for the IDA and Lakewood Ranch's community development districts.

The addition of a full-time clerk position will allow the IDA and community development districts to discontinue the use of Severn Trent Services for document management, which currently cost the districts and IDA a total of $64,000 annual. Salary for the new position is budgeted at about $55,000.

The only budget impact for the change in the IT specialist's position is the additional benefits provided to full-time employees for paid time off and insurance.

IDA supervisors are expected to vote on the changes at Thursday's meeting at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall.
