Homeless man robbed

A homeless man was injured during a robbery Sunday at a homeless camp behind the Circle K, at 6410 State Road 64 E., Bradenton.

A Manatee County Sheriff's Office report states emergency medical services responded to a call regarding an injured person at 3:35 p.m. Upon arrival at the hospital, the person was identified as Phillip Robertson, 35.

While at the hospital, Robertson disclosed he had been robbed. Deputies conducted a brief interview. Robertson stated he was missing $200, a cell phone and a laptop computer. 

Robertson sustained injuries to his face and remains hospitalized.
