Home tour traffic on the rise

The Lakewood Ranch Tour of Homes already is seeing an uptick in traffic.

Jimmy Stewart, vice president of sales for LWR Communities, a subsidiary of Lakewood Ranch developer Schroeder-Manatee Ranch, said visits to Lakewood Ranch information centers and models were up by 27% compared to the first weekend in last year's Tour of Homes event.

"Given the uptick in traffic beginning the week before, showcasing 41 model homes, the current market, our diverse product offerings and the near perfect weather of last weekend I had a hunch we it would be big," Stewart said.

The tour, which runs through Nov. 17, features 41 models by 15 builders, serves to showcase the Lakewood Ranch community and its offerings.
