Central-Cocoanut Neighborkids recently set a new record in the annual Big League Readers challenge. More than 75 children earned a ticket to an Orioles spring training game by completing the challenge of checking out and reading at least three books from a Sarasota County library in one month. The Big League Readers challenge promotes reading among youth and is part of a partnership between the Baltimore Orioles and Sarasota County Libraries.
