High five moments of the week

1 - The Sarasota Christian boys basketball team defeated Southwest Florida Christian 63-56 to win the Class 2A-District 9 championship Feb. 7.

2 - Sarasota High wrestlers Tobias Baker and Chance Sharbono both finished in the top four in their respective weight classes at the Class 2A-Region 3 meet Feb. 7 and Feb. 8 to advance to the Class 2A FHSAA Wrestling Championships Feb. 14 and Feb. 15.

3 - The Out-of-Door Academy girls tennis team opened its season with a 7-0 victory against Shorecrest Prep Feb. 5.

4 - The Sarasota Christian girls basketball team defeated Clewiston Ahfachkee 56-35 in the Class 2A-Region 3 quarterfinals Feb. 6.

5 - The Cardinal Mooney High girls tennis team defeated Riverview 4-3 Feb. 6.
