Hidden Harbor home tops sales at $2.5 million

The following residential real estate transactions took place between Aug. 8 and Aug. 12. A home in Hidden Harbor tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Fred and Judith Hollingsworth, Sarasota, sold their home at 515 Jungle Plum Road to Richard and Diane Banyard, Sarasota, for $2.5 million. Built in 1998, it has six bedrooms, two-and-two-half baths, a pool and 6,820 square feet of living area. The property previously sold for $1,255,000 in 1996.

Sarasota Surf and Racquet Club
Charlene Steckbeck, trustee, sold the Unit 703 condominium at 5920 Midnight Pass Road to Gregory and Cheryl Terry, of Murfeesboro, Tenn., for $525,000. Built in 1971, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,302 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $58,900 in 1974.

Siesta Isles
Richard and Jane Antony, Sarasota, sold their home at 5217 Shadow Lawn Drive to Brian Steffen and Mary Steffen, of Alexandria, Ky., for $400,000. Built in 1988, it has four bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,421 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $390,000 in 2002.

Siesta Cove
BankUnited sold the home at 1200 S. View Drive to Mark Collier, Sarasota, for $333,500. Built in 1978, it has four bedrooms, five baths and 2,568 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $171,000 in 1994.
The Pointe on Midnight Pass

Gulseren Ovacik, trustee, sold the Unit 501 condominium at 9393 Midnight Pass Road to Claudia Burrows, of Superior, Colo., for $330,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,380 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $70,500 in 1978.

G. Thomas Tranter Jr. and Gregory Tranter, trustees, of Horseheads, N.Y., sold the Unit 705 condominium at 9397 Midnight Pass Road to Mary Tranter, Sarasota, for $300,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,029 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $58,000 in 1977.

Revised Siesta
OWB REO LLC sold the home at 3911 Roberts Point Road to SunCastle Properties LLC for $205,000. Built in 1946, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 742 square feet of living area. The property previously sold for $400,000 in 2006.
