As they sat elbow-to-elbow July 29, members of the Heritage Harbour South Community Development District board and the Stoneybrook Homeowner's Association had one goal in mind — to establish an on-paper working relationship.

After the groups decided the HOA will again maintain CDD-owned property, the CDD proposed a rough draft of a landscape agreement at its meeting last month. Both groups had issues with wording and other agreement specifics they addressed at their joint meeting this week.

The groups made the following changes to the document: the HOA will send monthly email updates on the status of landscape of projects, and will only attend CDD meetings, to discuss landscape, on an as-needed basis; the HOA will work to get Heritage Harbour on the top priority hurricane recovery list of the future landscape vendor — the list calls for certain neighborhoods to be given top priority for cleanup after natural disasters; and when financing landscape-related repairs, the HOA will cover the first $5,000, and the CDD will cover amounts over $5,000.

The CDD will discuss the agreement again at its next meeting, Aug. 5.
