Haile robotics team earns admission to state competition

Haile Middle School’s VEX Robotic Team recently won a local robotics competition, earning the squad a spot in a state competition.

The team of Lincoln Beni Lincoln Benidicto, Brantley Deines and Michael Kisada won the “Tampa Prep Throwdown” Feb. 8 with a match record of 7-1. The team’s fourth member, Patrick Downing, was unable to attend the meet.

With the win, the Haile Middle School team will compete in the Florida VEX Robotics State Championship, to be held at the University of South Florida March 1 in Tampa.
