Gulf is just feet from North Shore Road (VIDEO)

Town Manager Bruce St. Denis is now 75% sure the town will be able to restore the beach near North Shore Road this summer.

In this video, taken Wednesday, May 26, the Gulf is just feet from North Shore Road at high tide.

St. Denis said his ideal situation is to get more sand in the area and manage the beach without having to place four breakwaters 220 feet off the shore.

St. Denis is working to get a permit in the coming weeks to recreate the beach that was lost before the town renourishes its beach island-wide in 2011.
