Approximately 200 women gathered Feb. 25, at Michael’s On East to celebrate the 130th birthday of ORT, an organization that provides education and training opportunities in more than 60 countries. The Gulfside Palm ORT chapter has been getting lots of support from Longboaters thanks, in part, to resident Karen Gary, who has been spreading the word about the group’s contributions. At the event’s fashion show, Longboat Key members walked the runway as models.
