Goldsteins receive Governor's Jefferson Award

Longboat Key residents Ed and Sue Goldstein received the 2013 New Jersey State Governor’s Jefferson Award in the health-care category.

The Goldsteins established The Valerie Fund in 1976 in memory of their 9-year-old daughter, Valerie, who died of cancer. After her death, they were determined to do something in her memory.

Today, the seven Valerie Fund Children’s Centers provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art outpatient health care to more than 5,000 children and their families each year.
