Giving circle grants largest amount yet to charity

Ladies in the Sisterhood for Good, a women’s giving circle in the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund, gave out $6,602 to seven local nonprofits during a special ceremony June 14.

Charities recognized included the Humane Society of Sarasota; InStride Therapy; Josh Provides Epilepsy Assistance Foundation; Mother’s Helping Mothers; The Mark Wandall Foundation; The Player’s Center for Performing Arts; and The Tiny Hands Foundation.

Grants ranged from $400 to $2,000.
