He might look like a fish ... er, shark … out of water. But Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium is turning 55 this year, and its mascot, Gilly the Shark, is ready to party. Throughout the year, Gilly will be making appearances around town, the next of which will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Downtown Sarasota Farmers Market. Need pointers on how to spot him? He’ll be the only guy at the market with a dorsal fin.
